Ingredients for Apple Compote And Orange Marmalade Recipe
- 1 dozen tart apples
- 1 quart water
- 1 lb. granulated sugar
- 1 dozen choice apples, cored and pared
- Orange marmalade
- Whipped cream
Instructions
- Boil one dozen tart apples in one quart of water until tender.
- Strain through a jelly bag, add one pound of granulated sugar and let boil.
- While boiling, drop liquid into cored and pared apples.
- When the apples are tender, drain them carefully on a preforated skimmer.
- Boil the syrup until a jelly.
- Fill the apples with orange marmalade, pour over these the thickened syrup and serve with whipped cream.
