Ingredients for Apple And Pear Sponge Recipe
- 4 apples, peeled, cored, and quartered
- 6 pears, peeled, cored, and quartered
- 2 cups milk, scalded
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons water

Instructions
- Place apples and pears in a sauce pan with water.
- Cover and boil slowly for about 8 minutes.
- Mash together with a potato masher.
- Add the sugar.
- Mix the eggs with the flour and add the milk slowly.
- Put apple mixture in a pudding dish.
- Pour over it the milk, egg, and flour batter.
- Bake slowly in moderate oven for about 45 minutes.
