Ingredients for Aerated Wheat Gems No. 1 Recipe
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons melted vegetable fat
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 1/4 cups entire wheat flour
- 1/2 cup white flour

Instructions
- Mix together all the ingredient in a large bowl and let it set in a cold place overnight.
- In the morning, mix the batter with a spoon, then drop the batter into hot, oiled iron gem pans and bake in a medium oven to a nice brown.
NOTE: Only iron gem pans should be used for aerated breads since it promotes the expansion of the batter.
